The 1 Week Diet – The Egg Diet

The Egg Diet

We’ve had this diet sent in from a fan of Slimming Solutions. Jacqui had lost 3 dress sizes using our Slim Bomb Weight Loss Pill and couldn’t shift the last 6lbs to reach her goal weight.

A friend at work had followed the diet – with dramatic results – heres the lowdown and, thanks for the diet sheet Jacqui.

The basis of this diet is chemical and not quantities. It claims that you can lose a stone in a week if followed exactly.

Do not follow this diet for more than a week at a time.

Allowed Drinks: Black Coffee, Black Tea, Lemon Tea, Grapefruit Juice, Tonic Water, Soda Water and Tap Water (unlimited amounts)

Salad Consists Of: Lettuce, Tomato and Celery only.

Day 1

Breakfast:         1 Slice of Dry Toast and grilled Tomatoes

Lunch:                Any amount of fresh fruit

Dinner:                2 Hard Boiled Eggs, Salad and Grapefruit

 

Day 2

Breakfast:         Grapefruit and 1 Boiled Egg

Lunch:                Roast Chicken (any amount) and Tomatoes

Dinner:                Grilled Steak and Salad

 

Day 3

Breakfast:         Grapefruit and 1 Boiled Egg

Lunch:                2 Hard Boiled Eggs and Salad

Dinner:                2 Grilled Lamb Chops, Celery and Cucumber

 

Day 4

Breakfast:         1 Slice of Dry Toast and 2 Poached Eggs

Lunch:                Any amount of fresh fruit

Dinner:               2 Grilled Lamb Chops, Celery and Cucumber

 

Day 5

Breakfast:        1 Slice of Dry Toast and 2 Poached Eggs

Lunch:               2 Poached Eggs and Tomatoes

Dinner:               Fresh or Tinned Fish and Salad

 

Day 6

Breakfast:        1 Boiled Egg and 1 Glass of Grapefruit Juice

Lunch:               Any amount of Fresh Fruit

Dinner:              Roast Chicken, Carrots and Cabbage

 

Day 7

Breakfast:       2 Scrambled Eggs and Tomatoes

Lunch:              2 Poached Eggs and Spinach

Dinner:             Grilled Steak and Salad

Special Notes:

  • Refrain from all foods not included above
  • No substitutes allowed
  • Eat only what is shown or do without
  • No eating between meals
  • No alcoholic drinks, milk, butter, oil or fat

    Unfortunately we wouldn’t advise substituting the tomatoes for anything else as it does state that “no substitutes are allowed”, therefore we would suggest leaving the tomatoes out altogther.

    Hi just finished my first week and im 13lbs lighter. Starting it again and hope to lose another 9lbs this week. Didnt excerise first week but im going to do half an hour of my fitness dvd a day this week as i find with most diets you lose less weight cos your body gets use to it. I really enjoy this diet and havent felt hungry or tired at all. This diet is amazing. Looking forward to valentines day where im having a day off…. think ill deserve it by then! Going away in march so want to lose another 2.5st in total. Wish me luck!!

    I needed a short sharp diet to start me off on a weight loss need of around four stones-I’m on Day Five of this and have followed it to the letter in order to give it a fair trial! This diet takes IMMENSE willpower and I nearly cracked yesterday (Day Four) craving ‘junk food’ and a bit of cheese (but only because it was around me-five kids!)- I scribble in a diary little words of encouragement to keep me going and come on here daily to read success stories for a boost-it is REALLY hard but I WILL see this through! I’ve not started any specific exercise plan (too weak to contemplate that at the moment!) But have fit in a few leg squats now and then (in front of the telly ;) and walked a bit faster doing the school run! I was 16st13lb (5ft10″) on Day One-I will let you know in a couple of days my total loss- Good luck to everyone trying this out hope it works for you! :)

I wondered if I could have raw tomatoes instead, if it affects the diets results I could make my self like grilled ones just once but would much prefer not to! Thanks Denise.

    Any acidic fruit is fine to eat so you could substitute the grapefruit for an orange.

    well, 1 week later and I’m 13.5 lbs lighter. this diet really does work. Going to have a few days off then start back on it come Monday. Not only did the weight fall off, but it stopped me craving bread and sweet stuff. Going to keep eating healthy til Monday, don’t want to undo the hard work.

    ps hubby lost 16 lbs!

    Well I have finished my week and really enjoyed this diet. I lost 6lb which was great. I did substitute the lamb chops and fish for chicken and oranges for grapefruits and left out the celery and cabbage completely. I also used salt, pepper, parsley and basil to flavour my chicken and salads – just because it is a diet doesnt mean it cant taste nice and i really enjoyed. my problem is … now what? what diet do i follow to loose the last 14lb? any ideas as i do not want to put this weight back on.

    Started this diet today, doing great just had my 2 boiled eggs salad & grapefruit! Not really liking celery tho :( but a ate it so it filled me up! Day 2 tomorrow looks good but the only thing is for my lunch it says roast chicken (any amount) but in my work we do just normal chicken breast would it be ok to eat that ?x

    Hi, I am starting the diet this week. So far so good enjoyed tomatoes on toast and looking forward to the fruit at lunchtime as i love fresh fruits. I have swapped some of the lunches and evening meals around so that it fits better for me at work as there is no way I can prepare poached eggs at work, so have put these at the weekend – do you think this will be ok? I am keeping the foods exactly the same. Thanks, have 20lb to loose and really need a good post christmas kick start. Will let you know my progress.

    Far too much chicken on day 2. Apart from that going well. Lost 5 pounds in 3 days

    As you do not like fish you could substitute the whole dinner on that day for one of the other dinners from the diet. You also could alternatively swap the fish for grilled steak or roast chicken and have this with the salad.

    The diet states you should refrain from substituting if you can.

    My friend gave me this diet to try and follow as I have a friends wedding to go to in March. My friends mum did this diet and lost 13.2 lbs in 7 days and her sports coach lost around 5 kilo’s. I thought I would give this diet ago im on day 3 and intend only weighing myself at the end. I have followed this diet exactly from day one so hope to achieve some good results. I thought I would not enjoy black tea but actually tastes the same as having it with milk, I usually have a sweetner so had to get used to not having anything. To make the salad taste a bit better I added a little grapefruit juice about a lid full. I will post my weight loss results on monday fingers crossed all this effort has been worth it. :)

    After I substituted with the vegies I decided to go back to Day 1. Am now on day 4 and have lost another kg. I’ve been eating peaches, oranges, apples and bananas on my fruit days. I think one of the main things is to watch your quantities, even though it says to please yourself, it is still calories!!….when you feel full STOP. Had to go Christmas shopping today and instead of having junk with my coffee (black) and going back to square 1 again I went to the fruit shop and bought 2 bananas and had them.
    Don’t know how I’ll cope with tonight – having dinner at my daughter-in-laws!!!!
