Wii is the new diet.

The Wii Diet

It seems that my boyfriend has found a new weight reducing diet the does not involve any adjustment to food intake. It is called the Wii. Paul (34) lost 9 pounds (4kgs) after experimenting for six weeks, using the Wii for 15 minutes a day. During that time he made no change at all to his diet. In addition of course, the exercise makes you fitter.

However, he did mention that the safety harness came apart once – sending the equipment flying through the air, so this could work out a costly way to lose weight if it smashes the TV or something!

Lose weight without dieting

That said and done, it appears to me that if you want to lose weight without dieting, the Wii is the way to go, as long as you do not mind the prospect of a black eye or having to replace your telly!

Hi, great article, there is a great video interview with this guy on NBC channel 10. Nintendo are bringing out a new fitness “game” called Wii Fit for anyone that is interested.

  7. [...] I’ve just come across an article on another website titled Wii is the new diet. We bought a Nintendo Wii a couple of months ago, and I have to agree that you can get a very good workout from it. As one of the comments on that site states, the boxing and tennis games do get you tired! [...]

not sure about losing weight with the Wii. I’ve heard of people getting black eyes and breaking their tv screens with those things.
