There shouldn’t be Keisha, just be aware that you may experience a little more bloating than usual.

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

Yes that is absolutely fine arr339.

    Hi Lucy,

Leaving out the chicken should not pose too much of a problem for you but we would advise that you stick to 3 meals per day if you can, even if you replace meals with chicken with meals without such as 2 hard boiled eggs and salad (day 2).

    I hope this helps.

No advice as such Georgia, just sensible eating and a little gentle exercise. Why not encorporate some of the foods listed above into your everyday eating (post diet). Do let us know how you get on : )

    Hi J,

The decision is entirely up to you : )

Green tea is fine arr339. Lemon juice added to food is absolutely fine too.

    Hi Kirsti,

If you are sticking to the diet religiously I see no obvious reason why you have seen no weight loss.

    Hi HanD87,

The decision is entirely up to you. A 6 and a half pound weight loss is something to be proud of. Well done you :) please keep us posted.

    Hi Kirsti,

I would imagine that adding broccoli to only one meal would not have an impact on your weight loss. Keep up the good work and do keep us posted : )

    Hi Cara,

  • Keisha

Hi I’m just wondering if there would be any difference in weight loss if I start the diet while starting my period?

  • arr339

Are you allowed vitamin C and zinc 1000mg drink as I’ve woken up with a sore throat?

  • Lucy

Hello. I’m on day 2. Is it fine if I had fruit for lunch instead of the chicken and tomatoes? I’ve been busy with work travelling and I never had the opportunity to buy chicken. Would this effect my weight loss? I had the breakfast and dinner for Tuesday but not the lunch

  • georgia

I’m starting this diet tomorrow. Having sensibly and slowly lost 2 stone since April, I have now reached a classic weight loss plateau. I weigh 9 and a half stone with an average BMI and just want to slim down for my birthday and Christmas before splurging! :) I always hear good things about this diet, but as I’m sure that alongside many others, the worry is about keeping the weight off – or at least keeping the majority of it off. Is there any diet advice you could give about what to eat afterwards? Depending on how it goes I would be keen to do this 1 week on 1 week off.

  • arr339

Can I drink green tea with lemon? And can I put lemon on my salads or chicken?

  • Kirsti Peters

No weight loss again for day 4… does this diet really work or does it just get rid of the water in your system

  • corrie

hi, did you really lose all that, im going to try 5 days on then a week doing ww then back on this and so on. hope it has good results like yours !

  • Kirsti Peters

Aww I was getting so bored that I added a little bit of broccoli and made a kind of stirfry out of the meat and celery and cucumber and spices….but feel guilty as I did not lose any weight when I weighed myself this morning?? Is it because “i went off piste” or is it normal to stall?

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

    Hello Barb,

You can substitute the grapefruit for orange if you wish.

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

2 handfuls of peanuts should make no difference to your results at all. We all know how tough diets are at the best of times :) do keep us posted with your results.

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

    Hi Kristi,

  • Kirsti Peters

Sorry another question…is Green tea ok, it’s not in the list but it is quite well known for its weight loss properties. Can’t understand why tonic water is on there either?

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

    I hope this helps.

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

We recommend you eat medium sized portions of the above, no specific weights are required.

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

    Hi Katie,

Yes you can have tinned tuna as your fish allowance :)

  • kaisha4

Can avocado be classed as a fruit?

  • Hi 5

    Yes of course.

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

    Hi Keisha,

Swapping days around is absolutely fine :)

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

    Hi Kirsty,

One half to a whole depending on the size of the grapefruit. Pepper is fine as are all other spices, however, steer clear of salt as this has a tendency to slow down metabolism.

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

    Hi Fati,

Unfortunately not, if you cannot stomach tomatoes may I suggest you leave them out? Alternatively replace with another food from the diet.

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

    Hi Hayley,

If you cannot eat grapefruit, the juice is fine, this is an important part of the diet therefore we wouldn’t recommend you leave it out completely.

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

Good luck, do keep us posted :)

  • http://www.slimmingsolutions.co.uk/ Slimming Solutions

    Hi JK,

Yes you can if you wish.

  • Kirsti Peters

I asked when it says grapefruit…how much and can we use spices like chilli?
