Pop superstar Lady Gaga is preparing for her upcoming tour by embarking on a weight loss regimen that focuses mainly on eating the right food.
The Born This Way Ball world tour kicks off soon and in order to get herself in shape for the gruelling series of dates, Gaga has been following a diet plan set out by nutritionist Harley Pasternak.
It involves focuses on food such aubergines, fresh spinach and sugar snap peas, which provide plenty of nutrients but also lots of flavour, so it does not become boring.
Rate than eating three square meals a day, Gaga is eating five times a day, but having smaller portions so the energy is released gradually and the food does not sit on her stomach for as long.
She is managing to fit in some exercise between rehearsals, however, and recently tweeted that she had just finished back-to-back spin classes to boost her fitness.
It is not all diet and exercise, however, as the music icon has revealed she is allocating one day a week to relax and eat what she wants.
